Camponotus Nigriceps

Camponotus Nigriceps are one of the most recognisable species in the hobby, with their black gasters and heads, and bright legs and thorax, they truly make for a unique sight.

For founding, we would suggest putting the queen into a twin luna pod, one section of the outworld filled with dry/slightly moist substrate, the other as the main living area for the queen, and for the tubes, one filled with water completely, and one used food food.

The queen will probably move the soil, possibly even nest in it, and make herself very comfortable, we suggest this as this is the best way to found most camponotus, and is especially important to do this for a camponotus with a high price point to minimise risk of death and maximise the queens comfort.
