Iridomyrmex Anceps

Iridomyrmex Anceps, also known as the Tyrant ant, are an extremely small and aggressive ant found in abundance across all of south east Asia but primarily in Northern Australia.

Iridomyrmex Anceps is mainly found in Arid and semi-arid areas and can typically seen scavenging dead insects and any type of meat, so ensure a constant supply of food is avaliable.

Iridomyrmex Anceps are known for their small stature and extreme abundance, they posses the ability to overwhelm with sheer strength in numbers.

Queens of this species can produce a huge founding brood pile, which boosts the chances of survival and finding food for the future generations.

Similarly to most (not all) Australian species, high temperatures and low humidity work best.
