Neoponera Villosa

Neoponera Villosa, also known as the hairy panther ant, or the Texan bullet ant, can deliver an intense sting, which if allergic, can land you a visit to the hospital, so please exercise caution when dealing with these ants, and ensure the correct escape prevention measures are taken.

This species is very rarely kept in the UK, possibly due to the abundance of Pseudoneoponera Rufipes on the market, and their rather high price.

High temperatures with around 70% humidity are preferred, with an abundance of food, and constant supply of water.

Note that this species does best in natural, and we would only recommend keeping them in a natural setup.
